Your Contribution to Development Promotion Group (DPG) will be of immense help, either in the form of donations or volunteering.

An amount of € 4500 - 5000 - Will help a rural shelterless poor family to have a home of their own with 250 to 350 sq.ft. The home will be named after the contributor. DPG has already built permanent shelters for 822 families affected by the Tsunami. An amount of € 2500 Per Annum - Will provide honorarium to our Community Organiser to continue her / his social and economic mobilisation activity in neighbourhood with 100 - 150 families. Our organizers visit their areas 2-3 times each week to assist with credit and savings accounts-keeping, resolve issues, and help start new self-help groups
An amount of € 6000 - Will enable a group of 10 - 15 women to take up a micro enterprise in their area which will in turn provide additional financial help for their well-being. These loans help to provide improved medical services, education for children, and self-sustained means for alleviating poverty. An amount of € 4000 - Will enable a group of 30 - 40 poor children in rural areas to attend pre-school or primary school for about 8 hours for 10 months. In many of villages, we have set up facilities to teach small children and help working mothers.

Volunteers will assist us to implement projects at the village level, to develop reports and studies, or to help with administrative work. Volunteers can be for a period of 3-6 months. So far, DPG has hosted volunteers from six different countries, including U.S., Germany, Australia, Netherland, China and Indonesia. Volunteers should be fluent in English and be willing to travel to undeveloped rural areas in India.

Request - All contribution will be duly acknowledged in the forth coming Annual Report with full name and address. In case you want to name the particular unit / scheme in memory of a person, kindly add another € 50. Contributions can be made to :

DPG is authorized by the Government of India to receive foreign contribution under the Foreign Control Regulation Act. Donations to DPG are exempted under section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act. vide CIT Lr.No. DIT(E) No.2 (117) / ' 92-' 93.

On receipt of a donation, a Memorandum of Understanding is submitted to the donor as to how his/her donation will be utilised. The progress of the project will be communicated at regular intervals and on its completion, a detailed report with photographs will be submitted. Interactions with the beneficiaries will be arranged on request.
