objectives

Development Objectives:

  • To promote development of the needy and the weaker section of the population and provide relief to the poor. To work for the development of women and children who are in difficult conditions.
  • To initiate and assist dairy, poultry and piggery schemes as a subsidiary occupation to rural and urban poor.
  • To undertake water development programmes.
  • To promote comprehensive health programmes for the well being of the rural community and care or relief for orphans, the aged, the sick, the helpless and indigent persons.
  • To initiate and guide cottage industries which provide employment to weaker sections of the population in urban and rural areas.
  • To collect and disseminate knowledge relating to appropriate technology to conduct study tours, training, seminar, work camps etc.

Education

  • To train people for democratic action and leadership by introducing and effectively propagating social, educational and economic programmes.
  • To encourage adult education and in general non-formal education for development.
  • To promote all manner of cultural activities that will serve to enrich the lives of people in rural and urban areas.

Research

  • To promote / undertake empirical fact find Research / Studies on problems relating the development of weaker sections of rural and urban population.
  • To promote studies on problems relating to self-employment and cottage industries, programmes and to ascertain their potentiality to become a growth factor in the development of small income generating units.
  • To undertake studies on problems relating to need-based education, crafts oriented education and non-formal education.
  • To encourage rural and urban youth to undertake critical studies on problems relating to the Society.
  • To develop and adopt appropriate methodologies for monitoring rural and community development programmes.
  • To offer consultancy services on matters relating to rural development, cottage industries, project monitoring, project evaluation and market studies.
  • To promote development as a liberating process aimed at the economic growth, social and self reliance.
  • To undertake and assist integrated rural development programmes with special preference to organizing village communities.

The above mentioned objects shall be carried on for the benefit of poor and the needy population, irrespective of caste, creed, race or community as such.
